Business in China Training Program 2011

Vantaa Innovation Institute’s Business in China Training Program is a comprehensive training package tailored to respond to the needs of Finnish industrial enterprises preparing for market entry in China. The program’s aim is to support companies in successfully exploiting the opportunities China has to offer.

The Training Program offers to participants:

• Practical knowledge on business opportunities in China
• Orientation to Chinese society, culture and legislation
• Close cooperation with China Development Bank
• Information on funding possibilities and sales channels
• Business contacts and partnership opportunities in China
• A network of top experts and consulting services
• A combined study and business trip to China
• Study package

The training is organized in cooperation with China Development Bank, Finland China Technology Cooperation Committee, Uusimaa Regional Council, Confucius Institute, Finland’s leading China-experts as well as academic partners in China. 

Program content and structure

The Training Program is carried out in its entirety in autumn 2011. The training is structured into four study modules in Finland (total of 7 work days) as well as a combined study and business trip to China (total of 9 work days). Each module includes a representative Finnish company sharing their experiences of working in China. In addition, the program will involve self-study. The final contents will be tailored to the needs and interests of participating companies. 

Target group

The training is targeted to companies interested in entering the Chinese market, especially in the following sectors in accordance with the Chinese Five-Year Plan.

• Energy Saving and Environmental Protection
• Next Generation Information Technology
• Biotechnology
• High Quality Equipment Manufacture
• New Energy Industry
• New Material Industry
• New Energy Auto Industry (clean-energy vehicles)
